Local moves are by the hour
Local moves are charged by the hour, from pickup to final destination. Like other movers, we also charge travel time from our office to your pickup address and, after the job is complete, from your new location, or storage, back to our office. We offer a set rate for this time. You don’t pay for fuel, tolls or any other travel surcharge.
How is the hourly rate determined?
The hourly rate will be determined by the date of the move, the number of trucks, and the number of movers needed to complete the job. Our customer service representative will be able to explain all the rates to you based on the number of items to be moved and the duration of storage.
Additional costs
The above rates do not include packing or materials (boxes, tapes, wrapping papers etc…). Any storage, of course, is extra.

Your free in-home estimate
Allbudget Moving and Storage offers free in-home estimates! Whether you are moving locally, or to any other location in the continental United State or Canada, our friendly and professional sales representative will come to your home, to examine your belongings and work with you to determine the best access into and out of your home, how many men will be required to complete the job, including the travel time.
This in-home service also comes with a guarantee that the job will not exceed 10% of the original estimate ( Note that this only applies to BINDING ESTIMATES ); ask your sales representative for more details. Accordingly, we share the results with you regardless of whether or not you hire Allbudget Moving and Storage to do the move.
If your new place is located in the Boston/Montreal metropolitan area within a quarter an hour travel time from our office, your in-house estimate is totally free to you. If the time is more than a quarter hour, a fifty dollars travel fee will be applied.
Good inventory equal accurate estimate
Help us correctly estimate your price quote by providing us with a list of items that will be moved. Have you ever heard of or experienced a horrifying situation where the move ended up costing 25 to 50% more than the estimated priced? When we provide your personal quote over the telephone, we try our best to prevent this underestimating problem from arising, by offering you this tip: take a few minutes to make your list accurate and detailed showing the items that you intend to move. Walk through your house and write down everything you have. Pay special attention to the number of boxes you may need.
This attention to details can make all the difference between an accurate price and one that may change at the time of the move (should there be a significant difference in what you actually take). It is often better to over estimate, because you only pay for what the movers actually work, plus the travel time.
Do not forget, you can always have us come to your home to do an actual walk through estimate at no charge to you!
